The online version of the Colorado real estate exam is administered by PSI, the state’s approved vendor. When scheduling your exam on the PSI website, you simply select the “Remote Proctored” option when prompted.

Your exam environment should be a private, quiet room with no interruptions or background noise. Make sure you have a clear desk free of notes, books, drinks or other prohibited items. All electronic devices (phones, tablets, smartwatches, etc.) must be removed from the testing area as well. Prior to starting the exam, you’ll be asked to scan your surroundings with your webcam to confirm the testing environment adheres to these requirements. Once the exam starts, you must remain within camera view throughout the entire testing session.

The cost to take the Colorado real estate exam is the same regardless of whether you take it in person or online. You’ll need to pay a $49 fee for the combined National and State portions. If you don’t pass the exam and need to retake it, the cost is $42.50 for each subsequent attempt.
