120 Credit Hour Video Licensing Course

Who must take this course:

  1. You hold an expired Salespersons license from another jurisdiction
    OR
  2. You hold an active Salespersons license in another jurisdiction and that license has active less than 2 years
    OR
  3. You have an expired Colorado Salespersons license and that license was issued prior to January 1, 1997.

If you meet one of the above criteria – completion of this course and passing both sides of the State licensing exam are required to receive a Colorado real estate license.

  • CONTRACTS and REGULATIONS (48 credit hours)
    students will deep dive into preparing and understanding Colorado Real Estate Commission approved contracts and learning Colorado real estate regulations.
  • CURRENT LEGAL ISSUES  (8 credit hours)
    will immerse the student in current real estate and real estate related statutes and regulations and important legal issues, developments and practices.
  • RECORD KEEPING and TRUST ACCOUNTS (8 credit hours)
    will cover the proper recordkeeping procedures required by the Real Estate Commission to maintain and account for funds belonging to others.
  • CLOSINGS  (24 credit hours)
    will teach students the basic skills necessary to properly close a real estate transaction, including responsibilities from the contract through and after the closing. Students will also be taught how to account for all funds received and disbursed as well as a comprehensive review of the legal documents prepared by the broker.
  • PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS (32 credit hours)
    will focus on the application of the laws, rules, and standard of practices. This section will give a working knowledge of the practical applications of entering the real estate industry, a basic understanding in determining competency, the necessary components of a successful transaction, and an overview of market trends.
