In his 30 years engaged in real estate law in Chicago and Denver, Eric has represented developers on retail and multifamily projects regarding entitlements, zoning issues, loan documents and related matters. He formed the Law Offices of Eric Nesbitt, P.C. in Denver in 2006.
Additionally, Eric is President & CEO of The Nesbitt Commercial Group, a commercial real estate practice he founded in 2004. In his capacity as a commercial real estate broker, he has assisted in site selection and development projects for Microsystems, Sprint and Oracle.
Eric is committed to doing his part to provide quality, affordable housing. He has owned multifamily apartment buildings in Chicago and Denver, and regularly rented units to Section 8 housing tenants or tenants at or below the area median income. Eric also served three years as a Commissioner of the Denver Housing Authority, appointed by Mayor Hancock.
Eric earned his BA degree in Finance from the University of Illinois and his J.D. Law degree and MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles. He frequently lectures on real estate law related matters to the Colorado Bar Association and the Colorado Association of Realtors.
