LAW and PRACTICE (48 credit hours)
- Covers the national side of the state licensing exam. These classes will introduce the student to the practice of real estate through the study of a common body of knowledge, including key terms and concepts in real estate, as well as related federal laws practiced on a national level.
CONTRACTS and REGULATIONS (48 credit hours)
- Students will deep dive into preparing and understanding Colorado Real Estate Commission approved contracts and learning Colorado real estate regulations.
CURRENT LEGAL ISSUES (8 credit hours)
- Current real estate and real estate related statutes and regulations and important legal issues, developments and practices.
RECORD KEEPING and TRUST ACCOUNTS (8 credit hours)
- Covers the proper recordkeeping procedures required by the Real Estate Commission to maintain and account for funds belonging to others.
CLOSINGS (24 credit hours)
- Teaches students the basic skills necessary to properly close a real estate transaction, including responsibilities from the contract through and after the closing. Students will also be taught how to account for all funds received and disbursed as well as a comprehensive review of the legal documents prepared by the broker.
PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS (32 credit hours)
- Focuses on the application of the laws, rules, and standard of practices. This section will give a working knowledge of the practical applications of entering the real estate industry, a basic understanding in determining competency, the necessary components of a successful transaction, and an overview of market trends.
While our classes are streaming video, there is some reading involved. You will receive the nationally recognized Principals of Real Estate Practice reference manual in downloadable digital format. This version is available right away.
